When life runs out of lemons, buy them.

When life runs out of lemons, buy them.

Note: This is a little exaggerated. In college, there’re many things that the average student fears: homework, assignments (note: these are separate entities, very different from each other), pre-class studying, post-class revisions (because there’s an exam every three weeks, and for fear that the lecturer will come into the classroom the next day and starts the class with “Okay kiddos, take out a piece of paper”), presentations, pop quizzes, and the moment the lecturer picks up the name list and all he/she sees is your name.

But these aren’t too bad and there are ways to wriggle out of them. The worst thing about college, the most detested, hated and abhorred thing about being in college (staying in the hostel, to be precise) is IRONING YOUR OWN CLOTHES. The frustration begins when you first came in and realised that you hardly ever do ironing but now you haven’t got much choice but to just do it. Then, you realised that it isn’t as easy as it seems and you have to spend double or triple the amount of time of a skilled “ironer” just to get rid of the creases in your shirt. As you iron, the creases only seemed to be increasing, and then you goggled at your watch because you spent over an hour ironing your shirt and it still looked as if you just got it out of the washer.

Moral of story: Do not complain about homework.

I still have some ironing to do.
